What are the advantages of a total heat exchanger
When addressing indoor air pollution in their homes, many families consider installing a ventilation system. Currently, there is a wide range of ventilation systems available on the market, among which the total heat exchanger is often mentioned. Ventilation systems can generally be divided into three types: unidirectional flow ventilation, bidirectional flow ventilation, and total heat exchanger ventilation. Among them, the total heat exchanger is currently the most expensive, comfortable, and energy-efficient ventilation system. The total heat exchanger adds a total heat recovery system to the ventilation host, which exchanges temperature through the flow and heat conduction of air with different temperatures at both ends of the heat transfer plate. At the same time, water vapor partial pressure difference transfers moisture, releasing it from high humidity areas for temperature exchange, thereby discharging indoor turbid air and introducing outdoor fresh air without opening windows
When the total heat exchanger exchanges indoor and outdoor air, it first adjusts the outdoor air to a temperature close to the indoor temperature before sending it into the room. In summer, the total heat exchanger utilizes the energy from the cold air expelled from the room to pre-cool the hot outdoor air before sending it into the room, reducing the loss of cooling capacity when the indoor air conditioner is turned on. In winter, it utilizes the energy from the warm air expelled from the room to preheat the cold outdoor air before sending it into the room with heating turned on, reducing the loss of heat inside the room
The air entering and exiting the room, both indoors and outdoors, must pass through a total heat exchanger for preheating and precooling. This energy exchange process can retain 70% of the energy in the indoor air, significantly reducing the temperature loss inside the room. Even if air conditioning and heating are used indoors, they will not affect the indoor temperature, thus saving energy consumption of the air conditioning system
